Keylink IT

Join this computer to the Keylink mesh

Run this on the computer you need Keylink to reach. It installs secure remote access and connects the computer to the Keylink mesh. No key to paste.

Trend Micro blocking the file?

Leave Trend Micro on. Stop if it blocks the page, download, or join file. Send Keylink the exact warning, detection name, and blocked address or filename. A photo is fine; hide any passwords.

Get the official Tailscale installer

This is an alternative first step for Windows 10 or later, or Windows Server 2016 or later. Installing Tailscale alone does not connect this computer to Keylink. Keylink must finish enrollment and remote access setup. Do not create a personal Tailscale account for this connection.

If Trend Micro blocks that download too, stop and send Keylink that warning.

Download the join filejoin.cmd - click to download, then run it

Steps

  1. Make sure the computer is online. Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or a phone hotspot all work. It must stay online while Keylink works on it.
  2. Click Download the join file above. If Trend Micro or Windows blocks the file, stop and send Keylink the warning before running it.
  3. If the file is not blocked, double-click it, then click Yes at the administrator prompt.
  4. Leave the computer on. At the end, a window shows a Mesh IP and an admin username. Send both to Keylink.
If the download does not start, try this link instead: join-mesh-backup-client.cmd

This page is for Keylink-managed computers only. The join file installs remote access and a backup connection. Use it only at Keylink's direction.
